With a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, I have built a career spanning science, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and private equity. I began in 1995 by founding an Internet startup in Los Angeles that, through three successive M&A transactions, became part of the world’s largest data center company by 2001.
I later moved into private equity on Wall Street. After a few years of learning its ways I originated and lead investments across technology and insurance. I have served on dozens of corporate Boards and was a member of a six person PE Investment Committee; the firm was managing almost $5 billion in assets under management. Following Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity in 2014, I led Soros’ investments into Ukraine for four years at the personal request of George Soros.
Beyond business, I have taught Private Equity workshops, supported charitable causes promoting arts and democracy.
I live in a Hudson Valley on a cattle farm with my wife with whom we have two adult children.
