A Life-Changing Message

It all started with a chance encounter. After finishing my front-end engineering education at an online university, I had a clear plan to land an IT job. But year of 2022 threw me a curveball. The tech industry took a hit, and the conventional wisdom was, that it wasn’t the best time to enter. Undeterred, I kept searching, hoping to find the next career opportunity.

While browsing LinkedIn, I stumbled upon a post by one of the Exadel HR managers. Her message resonated deeply with me. It spoke about self-learning and how companies can recognize potential and personality beyond just professional experience. I felt compelled to reach out, and I’m forever grateful I did.

Internship at Exadel

Two long months passed, coinciding with the tail end of my most demanding university semester. Just as I felt overwhelmed, Exadel reached out. In June, I received an official letter of invitation to take part in the upcoming Sandbox program. The interview process itself, which included an English assessment and a technical interview, went smoothly. I felt a genuine sense of engagement and interest from everyone at Exadel throughout the whole process.

My Exadel internship was a period of intense learning. During this full-fledged internal project, we interacted as a team and tackled all challenges. I found it a fantastic opportunity to learn my skills in practice and was always provided with support. While it was challenging to combine it with university studies, the experience was highly rewarding.

A year with L&D by my side

The internship culminated in a presentation and a final interview with senior team members. Thankfully, my story continued and the hard work resulted in a job offer. Ever since I started my work at Exadel, the Learning & Development Department has continuously supported my growth. When the projects decreased and I landed on bench, I was offered to take part in another bootcamp, this time for the Full Stack Engineer position.

Over two months, I learned a new programming language, which ultimately led to participating in a commercial project for one of our strategic clients. As a former Energy Engineer with eight years of experience, I transitioned into a Software Developer position not only thanks to a unique set of circumstances and unwavering support from Exadel. Now, I’m thriving in my new role, and the best part? It all started with a simple message.
