About the Project:
The customer is developing a semi-smart watch (a smart watch with limited features) for children. The watch will not provide games or toy-like features, rather it is designed to be a safety and communication tool. There is also a mobile app available for both iOS and Android that allows parents to communicate with their children via the watch.

Project Team: 3 Python Developers (1 TL, 1 SD, 1 D), 1 DevOps, 1 PM, 1 Manual QA, and 0.5 Automation QA
Project Tech Stack: Python 3.8, Chalice (AWS lambda), SQLAlchemy, Pytest, Aurora serverless (postgreSQL), AWS Appsync, and AWS IoT


  • 4-5 years of experience in Python
  • Experience in developing back-end serverless solutions using Python; Type annotations, SQL, PostgreSQL(RDS), and AWS Aurora
  • Knowledge of DevOps, and CI/CD process (e.g. AWS services)
  • Experience with docker, docker-compose optional
  • Knowledge of XML and/or Semantic Web Technologies (RDF, OWL)
  • Experience in building architecture from scratch
  • Experience in leading development teams
  • Experience with Scrum methodology
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of MQTT or other lightweight network protocols will be a plus


  • Provide Python leadership and technical coordination
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Build efficient back-end features in Python
  • Manage testing and bug fixes
  • Prepare technical documentation
  • Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
  • Be in touch with customers directly
