We are looking for a solid Program Manager to lead several strategic growth initiatives for the company. You will drive cross-functional initiatives, sometimes involving our partners, leveraging strong leadership, planning, communication, and collaboration. You must be a problem solver who makes things happen by setting clear goals, getting alignment across functional teams, and inspiring those teams to deliver. You should be both strategic and tactical, and do what it takes to deliver key programs that have a material impact on the business successfully.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, data science, analytics, operations, and 3rd party partners on technology programs that enable our customer’s business to grow and delight their riders and drivers.

About Our Customer:
The customer provides products for mobile app solutions, effortless payment, paratransit, business travel, and advertising that reaches captive audiences of millions and traces its history of success back to 1992. They are creating a comprehensive mobility platform for operators to efficiently manage their vehicles and drivers, for regulators to be informed and establish guidelines, for service providers to deliver sustainable, future-proof solutions, and for riders to have an effortless transit experience.
 
About Our Project:
The project is a taxi ordering service. The user can hail a taxi and monitor its arrival, pay for a ride, and see their own trip history. The system contains the following components:

  • ride server (all data processing)
  • payment server (PCI DSS-compliant) which performs a transaction with the passenger’s digital wallet and payment gateways
  • mobile application (hail taxi, geocoding, map, payments)
  • taxi terminal (3rd party)

The project includes integration with 3rd party services, including PayPal, MasterPass, Stripe, and Twillio.

You should be both strategic and tactical, and do what it takes to deliver key programs that have a material impact on the business successfully.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, data science, analytics, operations, and 3rd party partners on technology programs that enable our customer’s business to grow and delight their riders and drivers.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of management experience delivering highly successful and innovative projects that operated at scale
  • Demonstrable experience at setting and delivering on a strategy you crafted, working with multiple stakeholders and business units, while being accountable for outcomes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints in a highly dynamic and agile environment
  • Technical chops: previous collaboration with engineers developing technical architecture and a high level of comfort navigating tradeoffs and time-to-market discussions
  • Experience delivering projects in large-scale, distributed production systems and 24/7 production operations
  • Experience compiling and presenting business&technology options, backed by data and experimentation, to decision-makers
  • Ability to influence, negotiate with, and inspire others in a matrixed environment 
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work U.S. East coast hours

English level:
Upper-Intermediate

Responsibilities:

  • Lead iterative delivery of strategic cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability
  • Leverage deep technical expertise with large-scale, distributed 24/7 production systems to build comprehensive plans, identify risks, and ensure smooth project launches
  • Work with key internal stakeholders and third-party partners on strategic projects
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business leadership to build highly collaborative teams and enhance communication across business units
  • Ensure that our products are delivering and exceeding the established margin guidelines
  • Work with operations to configure pricing and incentive levers that drive supply performance
  • Define and analyze key metrics for your projects to inform decision-making and measure success
