We are looking for a high-level Data Engineer who will join our team of professionals!

As a consultant who specializes in Data Engineering, you will partner with clients to implement industry-leading solutions that deliver meaningful insights quickly and drive vital business decisions. You will be nimble yet pragmatic in the face of evolving priorities to deliver high-quality, scalable and secure data solutions. Your expertise in designing and implementing data flows, patterns and pipelines to enable better data source access and re-usable, automated components will enable transformational change for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work across technologies for a diverse portfolio of high-octane clients. We will also look to you as a strategic thought partner as we refine key offerings and bring new ones to market.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering
  • 4+ years of experience with scripting or coding (e.g., SQL, Python, JavaScript, PHP, VBScript, Ruby, Java)
  • 2+ years working on cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Azure Synapse, Redshift, Snowflake)
  • Demonstrated success with working independently and in collaboration with teams to complete delivery
  • Proficient with planning and managing delivery of work items
  • Excels at working with stakeholders across business and technology teams

Note:

  • This position is 100% remote. If you are based in Seattle that is a huge plus!

Nice to Have:

  • Consulting experience or a role within a departmental or enterprise analytics shared service
  • 7+ years of experience as a data engineer, delivering end-to-end data technologies and solutions using scripting or coding
  • 4+ years working on cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • 4+ years working with a cloud data warehouse or enterprise data warehouse EDW (e.g., Azure Synapse, Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Vertica, Greenplum, SAP Hana)
  • Experience with relational database management systems RDBMS, Massively Parallel Processing MPP, or distributed data platforms, leveraging features such as data mesh or data virtualization
  • Experience using or building APIs to provide alternative ways to access and update data
  • Experience with solution delivery using agile or other delivery methodologies
  • Experience with business Intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Domo, Power BI)

English level:

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct assessments of a company technology stack, identify challenges and gaps, business and technical pain points, and current state and future state scenarios
  • Lead planning, design, development, and delivery of frameworks, patterns, and pipelines coupled with data solutions for client teams
  • Drive the collection of data from new sources and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve data quality
  • Interface with technology and business teams to evaluate data sources while implementing business logic using efficient transformations that are aligned to requirements
  • Participate in strategic planning and execution of migrations of data and processes from legacy data platforms to modern best-fit engineering cloud data platforms.
  • Develop frameworks and implement solutions to manage critical data at-scale ensuring regulatory compliance requirements, data privacy standards, and security best practices
  • Perform continuous integration to ensure that every step of a data flow is testable, automated, and compliant
  • Develop and apply exceptional knowledge of common and emerging data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Matillion, Fivetran, MuleSoft, Talend, Alteryx, SSIS) via implementation of modern data architecture and solutions
